Christopher Charles Owan Memorial Scholarship

Mental health struggles can deeply affect a person’s life and education. The Christopher Charles Owan Memorial Scholarship aims to support students who have experienced these challenges or are working to make a difference in the mental health field.
This scholarship was created in honor of Christopher Charles Owan, a bright student at Arizona State University who was just a few credits away from graduating in civil engineering when he began battling serious mental illness.
In his memory, his family created a nonprofit to support mental health awareness and education.
Now, through this scholarship, two Arizona students will each receive $2,275 to support their college journey.
