Free Coaching for DNT Students 2025–2026
The Free Coaching for DNT Students under the SEED (Scheme for Economic Empowerment of DNTs) is a major government initiative by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. It is designed to support students from De-notified Tribes (DNTs), Nomadic Tribes (NTs), and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (SNTs) to prepare for competitive examinations.
Under this scheme, students receive free coaching, stipends, and other benefits to help them pursue careers in government services, law, medicine, engineering, accountancy, and more.

The program is implemented through the Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC). Its goal is to uplift economically and socially disadvantaged communities by enabling their youth to gain equal access to quality education and job opportunities.
Who Can Apply?
To apply for this program, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Must belong to a De-notified Tribe (DNT), Nomadic Tribe (NT), or Semi-Nomadic Tribe (SNT).
- Must be in Class 12 or have already passed Class 12.
- Must be preparing for a competitive examination such as:
- NEET
- JEE Main
- NDA
- CLAT
- SAT
- TOEFL
- CA-CPT
- RRB
- Banking
- Insurance
- State Police
- CPL courses
- Must have an annual family income of ₹8,00,000 or less.
- Must not be receiving coaching fee waivers or benefits under any similar Central or State Government scheme.
- Students must submit valid caste or tribe certificates that confirm their DNT, NT, or SNT status.

What Does the Scheme Offer?
1. Coaching Fee Support
The scheme covers coaching fees for a wide range of competitive exams. The government pays the coaching fee directly to the institute. Students can choose their preferred coaching centre, whether offline or online.

A minimum of 16 hours per week of physical coaching is mandatory.
2. Monthly Stipend
To help cover daily expenses during coaching:
- ₹1,500/month for local students
- ₹4,000/month for outstation students
3. Special Allowance for Students with Disabilities
Students with 40% or more disability receive ₹2,000/month for:
- Reader allowance
- Escort allowance
- Helper support
This allowance is granted for the course duration or up to one year, whichever is less.
Important Notes
- Each student can benefit under the scheme only twice, even if applying for different exams.
- Students must submit proof of admission from the coaching centre.
- Coaching centres must receive fee payment within 3 months of the first installment disbursal.
- The benefits are strictly for educational purposes only. Misuse can lead to disqualification and repayment of funds.
Documents Required
Applicants must upload or submit scanned copies of the following:
- Recent passport-sized photo (below 100 KB)
- Identity proof (Aadhaar, ration card, etc.)
- Valid DNT/NT/SNT certificate
- Class 12 mark sheet or proof of current enrollment
- Income certificate from Tehsildar or employer
- Bank account details (Aadhaar-linked) and passbook copy
- Admission confirmation from coaching institute
- Disability certificate (if applicable)
- Declaration confirming no other scholarship support is being taken
