Nagaland State Research Scholarship 2025–2026
Nagaland State Research Scholarship 2025–26 is a financial aid program for ST and Indigenous students of Nagaland who are pursuing Ph.D., M.Phil., or D.Litt. courses at recognised universities in India. Offered by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, the scholarship supports research students in continuing their academic journey.

About the Scholarship
This scholarship helps tribal students of Nagaland reduce the financial burden of research education. Students must apply in the first year of their research course to be eligible.

Who can apply?
- Scheduled Tribe (ST) and an Indigenous resident of Nagaland
- Admitted in Ph.D., M.Phil., or D.Litt. course in a recognised Indian university
- Apply only if you are in the first year of your research program
Note: You cannot apply if you already receive any other scholarship or are employed.
Scholarship Benefits
Students selected under this scheme will receive financial assistance for the duration of their research course. The amount will be disbursed directly to the student’s bank account.

What are the documents required?
- Class 10 admit card (certified copy)
- Final marksheet of your last exam (certified copy)
- ST & Indigenous certificates (issued by DC/DM)
- Research synopsis (signed by Guide/Supervisor – for Ph.D. students)
- Ph.D. registration letter/card (if applicable)
- Aadhaar card (photocopy)
- Bank passbook front page (photocopy)
- Admission receipt (photocopy)
- One recent passport photo (pasted on printed form)

Selection Process
Students will be selected based on:
- Fulfilment of eligibility
- Proper submission of all documents
There is no exam or interview.
Terms and Conditions
- Students cannot be receiving any other scholarship/stipend
- Students must not be employed in any government or semi-government job
- Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected
- Only students in the first year of their research can apply
