Pragati Scholarship 2025 – for Girl Students
Pragati Scholarship 2025 is a government scholarship launched by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to support girl students pursuing technical education. This scheme provides ₹50,000 per year to cover tuition fees, books, equipment, laptops, and other academic-related expenses.
A total of 5,000 scholarships are available for eligible candidates. Applications for the 2025–26 academic year are open now.
About Pragati Scholarship
This scholarship is specially designed for girls who are admitted into 1st-year diploma or degree technical courses (or 2nd year via lateral entry) at AICTE-approved colleges.

Who can apply?
Before applying, make sure you meet these eligibility conditions:
- Must be a girl student.
- Admitted to 1st year of diploma/degree OR 2nd year through lateral entry.
- Studying in an AICTE-approved college/institute.
- Family income must be less than ₹8,00,000 per year.
- Maximum 2 daughters per family can apply.
Note: Students admitted under management quota are not eligible.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected candidates will get:
- ₹50,000 per year for up to 3 years (Degree) or 2 years (Diploma).
- Amount can be used for:
- Tuition fees
- Books and equipment
- Laptop/desktop purchase
- Other academic costs
The amount will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account via DBT.
Documents Required
You will need to upload scanned copies of the following:
- Class 10 & 12 marksheets
- Aadhaar card
- Passport-size photo and signature
- Admission letter
- Tuition fee receipt (current year)
- Annual income certificate (from Tehsildar or above)
- Certificate from institute (in AICTE format)
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar-linked bank passbook
- Signed declaration by parents (as per AICTE format)

How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply online via the Scholarship Portal:
- Visit https://www.myscheme.gov.in/schemes/psgs-dip
- Click on ‘New Registration’
- Fill in all required details and register
- Login using the Application ID and Password
- Change the password (if asked)
- Fill in the scholarship application form
- Upload all necessary documents
- Submit the application
Selection Process
Selection is merit-based, depending on the marks in the qualifying exam.
Reservation Policy:
- 15% for SC
- 7.5% for ST
- 27% for OBC
Terms & Conditions
- Only 1st-year students or lateral entry 2nd-year students can apply.
- Upload photo (max 200 KB) and signature (max 50 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
- Must have a general savings account (no minor or joint accounts).
- Scholarship is non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Misleading information will lead to cancellation and refund of the scholarship.
