TWAS-ICCBS Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme 2025
TWAS-ICCBS Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme 2025 is a fully funded research opportunity for young scientists from developing countries (except Pakistan). This program is jointly offered by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), based at the University of Karachi, Pakistan.
The fellowship allows selected candidates to carry out postdoctoral research in a wide range of scientific fields, including organic chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular medicine, pharmacology, and physical chemistry. The goal is to help early-career scientists enhance their research skills and gain international experience.

Who can apply?
Before applying, make sure you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a citizen of a developing country, including India (but not Pakistan).
- Should have a PhD in natural sciences.
- Must be 45 years or younger as of 31 December, 2025.
- Should be employed in a research/academic role in a developing country (except Pakistan).
- Must not hold any visa (temporary or permanent) for a developed country.
- Should plan to return to their home country after completing the fellowship.
- Should meet language requirements (proof of English proficiency if medium of instruction wasn’t English).

What are the Benefits?
Selected candidates will receive:
- A monthly stipend to cover living expenses during their stay in Pakistan.
- Full access to ICCBS research labs and facilities.
Note: The stipend amount is not convertible to any foreign currency. It is meant only for local expenses.
Duration
The duration of the fellowship ranges from 6 months to 12 months, depending on the research project and agreement between the fellow and the host institute.
