Walter and Linnie Francis Memorial Scholarship

Walter and Linnie Francis, proud Jamaican natives and parents, firmly believed in the power of education. Their legacy now lives on through a scholarship that supports students who share that same passion for learning.
The Walter and Linnie Francis Memorial Scholarship offers $750 to one graduating high school senior in Hartford or West Hartford, Connecticut who plans to attend college in Fall 2025.
It’s designed specifically for Black or African American students with a GPA between 2.0 and 2.9, students who often face unique challenges and deserve support as they pursue their goals.
