Young Women in STEM Scholarship
Despite progress, women ,especially those from low-income backgrounds are still underrepresented in science and tech. The Young Women in STEM Scholarship awards $5,000 each to three bold, ambitious female students who are ready to break barriers and shape the future of STEM.

Essay Questions (250 words each)
Total length: 750–1,000 words
- Tell us about yourself and what drives you. If you could do anything with your life, what would it be?
- What excites you about STEM, and how could you positively impact the world through a job in information technology?
- What is the biggest challenge you’ve overcome, and how did you get through it?

What qualifies as a STEM major?
Any field within science, technology, engineering, or mathematics—including computer science, biology, physics, chemistry, math, engineering, data science, IT, etc.
What should I write about?
You’ll answer three short essay questions covering your background, passion for STEM, and resilience. Each response should be 250 words.
